Will Catelynn Lowell Be Skipping The 'Teen Mom OG' Reunion?
A ‘Teen Mom’ reunion just wouldn’t be the same without Catelynn Lowell- but that might be exactly how the special will go down. The reality star is currently receiving treatment for her mental health issues, and is likely to be released at the end of this month. Even though taping for the reunion special is to be done in early March, that still may be too soon for Catelynn.
The ‘Teen Mom’ alum has been in rehab for similar needs twice before, and getting back in front of MTV cameras may not be the best thing for her recovery. Catelynn checked into a facility last year after experiencing suicidal thoughts.
"Well today I thought of every way to kill myself... so I'm going to treatment," she wrote on Twitter.
Catelynn returned home to her husband and daughter near the end of December, but headed back to treatment just 3 weeks later.
“Well, they say third times a charm,” she wrote. “I’m going back to treatment people for 6 weeks to work on my trauma and getting on different meds," she tweeted. "THANK YOU @TylerBaltierra I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!! You are my light!! And Nova you are my sunshine #KeepTalkingMH."
Catelynn’s husband Tyler has been battling mental health concerns of his own, and it seems like parenthood is much more challenging for him without Catelynn by his side.
It’s extremely likely that the reunion could be the worst thing for Catelynn, especially if she’s fresh out of rehab.
“The reunion will be filming the first weekend in March for two days,” said a source. “The reunions are always extremely emotional and grueling. Catelynn’s appearance is still very much up in the air and will be determined much closer to the date, even as late as the day before."
The decision to be apart of the reunion is up to Catelynn’s doctors.
“Her treatment team will decide if she should go.” the insider said.
We’ll just have to wait and see if Catelynn joins her ‘Teen Mom’ co-stars at the reunion.
